Here is how to do it:

Note: To use this new feature, you need to be running Chrome 105 which was released in September 2022

  • Open Google Chrome
  • In the address bar, type chrome:flags and press enter
  • When the page opens, type omnibox in the Search flags box
  • From the list of flags, scroll down until you find "Omnibox Site Search Start" and from the drop down menu, select Enabled
  • At the bottom of the screen you will be prompted "Your changes will take effect the next time you relaunch Chrome", close Chrome and restart it to enable the feature
  • You can now use the following commands in the Omnibox:
    • @history - to search your browser history
