Tech Tip – Customise Notifications In WhatsApp

Would you like certain groups to have unique notifications so you know which group has receved a new message based on the noise / tone you get whe a new message arrives? 

This is handy because it means you don't have to check all your messages, especially if you are listening out for a specific group.

Here is how to do it on an iPhone:

• Open WhatsApp
• Tap on the group chat you want to alter the notification for
• Tap the name of the group at the top of the screen to get to the group's settings
• Tap on Alert Tone at the bottom of the screen and a menu with all the different tones appears
• Select the tone you want to use, by tapping on the tone, it will play it to you, so you can work your way through them all until you find a tone you like
• Once you have selected the tone you want, tap on Save at the top right of the screen
• Your group should now have a new tone so you can differentiate it from the others!
