Tech Tip – How To Annotate PDFs Files In Google Drive On An Android Device

Google has enabled new functionality so you can now use your finger or a stylus to annotate PDFs in your Google Drive app on Android devices.

Here is how to do it:...

• Open the Google Drive app on your Android device
• Navigate to the PDF you want to annotate and open it
• In the bottom right hand corner of the screen is the annotate button, tap this
• The annotate toolbar will show up allowing you to select various annotating tools, you can select it using either your finger or stylus
• Tap and hold the annotation toolbar to snap it to the side of the screen you drag it to
• When you have finished annotating the original PDF, you can save it as the original with annotations or you can save as a new copy

NOTE: If you save a new copy of the PDF with a new file name after annotating it, the original file will be remain unchanged
