Tech Tip – How To Use Google To Find Images With Transparent Backgrounds

Here is a quick and easy way to find images on any subject which already have a transparent background, using Google’s Image Search.

Here is how to use it: 

• Open you web browser
• Go to Google www.google.co.uk
• Click on “Images” at the top right of the screen, the will open “Google Images Search”
• Type in what you are searching for, for example “Santa” and press enter use your mouse to click on the search symbol
• When the results come back, click on “Tools” menu  (at the top, on the righthand side, below the search box) and the tools menu will appear
• Click on 'Colour' (misspelled Color, those naughty Americans) and select “Transparent”
• This will then refresh the search results only showing images that have a transparent background
